To The Journey 150: Strength, Passion, and Vulnerability

Vaughn Armstrong.

He's a man who has played several roles in Trek, from a Klingon in TNG to a semi-regular character on Enterprise, and several other roles in between. You could say he is everywhere in Trek. No, we're not talking about Jeffrey Combs, but we are talking about a man who belongs to an elite club of actors that have played seven or more different characters throughout the Star Trek franchise (Jeffrey Combs, J.G. Hertzler, Randy Oglesby, and Thomas Kopache are the others).

In this special 150th episode of To The Journey, Char and Tristan talk with Vaughn Armstrong about his long-lived acting career; how he achieved and maintains his success; some of his favorite memories from working on the Trek shows; The Enterprise Blues Band; and much more.

To The Journey 149: Warnog

Prixin 2015.

First Ancestor's Eve...and now Prixin? How the time does fly! The holiday season is upon us and Char and Tristan have been busy setting up for Voyager's celebration of Prixin. This year's festivities are happening in Engineering, and that's not boding well for Tristan, who's having some...er, difficulty, with his supervisor. Meanwhile, Char is not fond of Neelix's "better than eggnog substitute." She's also in charge of the mistletoe. Put on your favorite "ugly sweater" and join in the fun as we celebrate Prixin once again in this special holiday edition of To The Journey.

To The Journey 148: Holograms Run Amok

Season Four Essential Voyager

Here they go again, Char and Tristan are back with Essential Voyager! This time, they tackle Season Four and examine each episode for essential-worthy status. If the episode has meaning to Voyager's mission home or contains essential character moments, it remains in the timeline. Otherwise, it's chucked from the season faster than Janeway can say "TIIIIME'S UP!" Which episodes from the fourth season prevail and which ones lose their safety net, so to speak? You'll have to tune in to this episode of To The Journey and find out.

To The Journey 147: Dreaming of Neil Armstrong

"11:59" Commentary.

For many the holiday season is a time filled with food, festivities, and family. It is also a time for reflection — to remember those before us, what has happened in the past year, and look to the future as we approach a new year. In this episode of To The Journey, Char and Tristan wax sentimental as they deliver a commentary on the Voyager Season Five episode "11:59." They reflect on their own ancestors, as well as the Janeway lineage; how Q could have made this episode better; how sometimes you can't help but live the rest of your life in the place where your car breaks down; and much more. Happy Ancestor's Eve, everyone!
